David Prutton has predicted Wolves to beat Sheffield United but believes it will be a close game.

In his predictions for the Sky Sports website, the pundit shared that he thinks Wolves will win 2-1 when they meet the Blades on Saturday and he believes it will be an “interesting” game.

“Now this should be an interesting game,” said Prutton.

“Wolves got back to winning ways last weekend but still don’t look at their fluent best, although they’re still 11 points clear!

“Sheffield United will have a go, as they always do, and this should be an entertaining game at Molineux, it will be close, but I think Wolves will edge it.”

The Sky Sports pundit revealed that he believes that Nuno Gomes’ side would come from behind to win Saturday’s game, as he tipped Leon Clarke to score first.

League leaders Wolves have nineteen more points than Saturday’s opponents who sit seventh ahead of their meeting.

OPINION

Wolves managed to instantly recover against Ipswich Town last Saturday after losing to Nottingham Forest the previous week. Gomes’ side only achieved a narrow 1-0 victory over the Tractor Boys, and didn’t look like they were performing at their best. While their recent performances have suggested a blip, it’s still surprising to see a pundit suggest that Wolves may not win their upcoming league fixture. Gomes’ side have been the first team in years to dominate the Championship, and they look like a Premier League team already. Therefore, Wolves was no doubt beat Sheffield United on Saturday even if they’re not firing on all cylinders, as they showed against Ipswich they’re capable of winning games even when they’re under-performing.
