Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction that new signing Yosuke Ideguchi will be loaned out for the remainder of the season.

Leeds announced on their official website on Tuesday that the Japan international, 21, has completed a medical and finalised the terms of a four-and-a-half year contract that runs until the summer of 2022.

Ideguchi becomes the second confirmed Leeds signing of the January window after Finnish centre-back Aapo Halme joined at the start of last week.

He will link up for the remainder of the campaign with Spanish second tier side Cultural, who are placed 18th in the La Liga B table, one spot above the relegation places.

Leeds fans are pleased to have signed Ideguchi, who is a central midfielder renowned at his former club Gamba Osaka as a multi-talented player who is goal scorer, creator and destroyer.

But a section of supporters took to social media to express their bewilderment as to why the new arrival will immediately head to Spain rather than help his parent club in their bid to secure promotion to the Premier League.
