Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm is being eyed by Dutch top-flight club Feyenoord, according to Voetbal International.

The Dutch news outlet claims that the Eredivisie outfit are interested in the 34-year-old shot-stopper.

It is understood that Feyenoord consider him to be an alternative for next season and could be looking to pounce with his deal at Spurs set to expire in the summer.

Vorm is currently understudy at the north London club under first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, meaning he has made just five appearances this season.

However, the 15-time capped Holland international is still regarded as a senior player in a young Spurs squad and has been with them since 2014.

Good move for Spurs?

Vorm is one of the better second-choice goalkeepers in the Premier League and rarely lets his side down when he is called upon.

However, with six months left on his deal it would not be the end of the world losing him and they do the younger Paulo Gazzaniga as another option in goal.

Vorm proved himself to be a very capable goalkeeper with his former club Swansea and is good with his feet, but a return to his homeland now at the age of 34 could be a decent move for the player.

Likely to happen?

This deal certainly appears like it could happen as Vorm’s current deal with Spurs is set to expire in the summer and Feyenoord are on the search for a new goalkeeper ahead of next season.

They are fifth-placed in the Eredivisie and there is no doubt that Spurs’ senior man would improve their starting XI, but his future right now remains unclear.
