Everton have joined the hunt to sign in-demand attacker Jarrod Bowen from Championship side Hull City, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims in its Goals section (print edition, January 28) that the Toffees, Newcastle and Brighton are all interested in the 21-year-old.

It is understood that the Tigers could be in for a nervous end to the January transfer window as their £10million-rated star attracts suitors.

The skilful right-winger is currently in the form of his life and has scored 12 goals in 29 games across all competitions this season.

However, Hull manager Nigel Adkins has delivered an emphatic response to interest in Bowen and insists that the club will not sell him in the January window.

“I won’t sell him, simple as that,” Adkins said, as quoted by the Sun. “We are not looking to sell, we have to look to the future.”

Good move for Everton?

Bowen has been one of the breakout stars in the Championship this season and the wide man looks destined to be a future top-flight star.

Everton already have several talented English youngsters in their squad and adding the Hull ace would be a smart move.

It’s unlikely he would be able to make an instant impact at Goodison Park, but adding him to their ranks would be another good coup.

Likely to happen?

It seems very unlikely that Bowen will be on the move this campaign following the comments from the Hull manager, but Premier League clubs are certainly aware of his talent.

The winger’s price tag is only going to shoot up if his form continues in the second half of the season and a summer exit could be more likely.
