West Ham target Ibrahim Amadou has arrived in London as the Lille captain looks to push through a Premier League move in the coming hours, according to a reliable journalist.

Kaveh Solhekol, a Sky Sports news correspondent, reported on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday evening that Amadou had arrived in London at 19:05 after catching a train from Lille.

Solhekol claims that Amadou is trying to push through a move to either West Ham or Crystal Palace, with both teams reportedly making movements to sign the versatile 24-year-old.

It is said that Lille are not making things easy for the Premier League duo as they look to wrap up the deadline day signing.

As reported by Sky Sports, West Ham made an enquiry about Amadou, for whom Palace had submitted two bids below Lille’s valuation of £17.6million.

Good move for West Ham?

This would be a good move for the Hammers, who are in need of cover in both midfield and attack.

The versatile Amadou is able to play both, and that would be a big asset for David Moyes in the coming months.

The 24-year-old is Lille’s club captain, and he is very highly-regarded in France, so a move to a bigger club seems inevitable.

Likely to happen?

Amadou is obviously pushing for a move to England by arriving in London, and a move to either club surely looks likely now.

Currently however the situation is unclear, and Lille are obviously determined for suitors to meet their valuation of their captain.

This one looks like it could go down to the 11pm deadline.
