Rangers have slapped a £10million price tag on star striker Alfredo Morelos amid interest from several English clubs, according to the Herald.

The newspaper report that a number of Championship clubs from south of the border have been keeping tabs on Morelos, who tops the Premiership scoring charts.

The Herald claim that Rangers will not entertain any offer that does not meet their £10million valuation of a player that has been a revelation this season.

Morelos, 21, was a £1million summer signing from Finnish side HJK Helsinki, and has 10 goals so far in the Premiership, and 12 in all competitions.

Good move for Rangers?

Slapping such a huge price tag on Morelos is a great move from Rangers.

The club are obviously keen to keep hold of the goal machine, who has been one of the very few summer recruits to hit the ground running at Ibrox.

The diminutive striker has shown his quality not only with his goals, but also his work-rate, and that has endeared him to the Rangers faithful.

It is no surprise that his form has attracted interest from England, and Rangers must do all they can to keep him at the club for now.

Likely to happen?

Luckily for Rangers, it looks as though Morelos is totally focused on the task at hand.

As quoted by the Daily Record, his agent has just come out and confirmed that the Colombian is happy in Glasgow, and has no plans of leaving the club this month.

And, at £10million, it is doubtful that any club would pay that money now anyway.
