West Ham fans had no sympathy for Andy Carroll on social media after reports revealed that he would be out for at least three months through injury.

The Telegraph reported that the forward had fractured his foot, with the Daily Mail later reporting that the Hammers were concerned about his injury and had sent him to see a specialist.

The Daily Mail also reported that Moyes was planning to be without the 29-year-old, even if the specialist provided the club with a more positive diagnosis of the injury.

The 29-year-old last featured for the Hammers against Tottenham, coming on as a substitute, but the Mail’s report shared that he had an injection of painkillers to get him through the game.

Carroll apparently sustained the injury in the 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion, which is the only game the forward has scored in this season.

The injury is the latest in a long line for the forward since he joined the Hammers in 2013 from Liverpool for £15million, according to the BBC.

Despite being at the club for nearly five years, Carroll has only played 128 games, scoring 32 goals in the process.

It’s probably this statistic that didn’t see West Ham fans offer the forward a lot of support after reading the reports.

One supporter revealed that they loved Carroll but even they thought it was time for him to leave after hearing the news, with another calling him a waste of space.
