Liverpool also issued a statement on their official website sharing that the centre-forward had suffered ligament damage to his right ankle during his side’s clash with Manchester City’s Under-23s earlier in January.
Brewster is yet to make an appearance for Liverpool’s senior team but has regularly featured in the Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League this season.
The 17-year-old has made 15 appearances across the two competitions, scoring five goals and registering seven assists.
The youngster has already gained a lot of attention in his career as he was part of England’s Under 17 World Cup winning squad in the summer.
In fact, Brewster was a key reason behind his nation’s victory as he scored eight goals in the tournament, which also saw him win the golden boot.
Liverpool fans being aware of the potential the forward has, shared that they hoped the injury wouldn’t cause him much of a set-back.
Many supporters wished for him to come back stronger, while one fan was just relieved that he wasn’t set to be ruled out for even longer, given the nature of his injury.
