Wolves midfielders Jack Price and Lee Evans are both close to sealing permanent exits from the club according to the Express and Star.

The newspaper claim that Price is in talks with MLS side Colorado Rapids and is currently deciding his future after Wolves accepted a bid.

The Express and Star report that Evans is close to moving to Championship rivals Sheffield United which would see his loan spell with Wigan end in order for the move to happen in January.

The Daily Mail originally broke the news on Evans sharing that a £750,000 bid from the Blades was likely to be accepted despite other Championship clubs being interested.

Both midfielders have hardly featured for Wolves this season, with Evans away on loan at Wigan and Price only making five appearances in the Championship.

Good move for Wolves?

Yes. With Wolves looking likely to be in the Premier League next season, it’s a good move to start clearing players out that they deem not good enough for their side in the Championship.

Price and Evans both have suitors willing to take them now, and it will lower the wage bill as Wolves look to make signings with the Premier League in mind.

Likely to happen?

Both these deals seem close to being achieved, with Price already in talks and no stumbling blocks in sight for Evans’ exit.

The only way the Evans move might change, is if another interested party from the Championship make a move to hijack Sheffield United’s bid, but either way he’s set to leave Wolves.
