Nottingham Forest sacked their manager Mark Warburton on Sunday after they lost to Sunderland to leave them 14th in the Championship, and Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to brutally troll their former boss.

As reported by the Telegraph, Warburton was sacked on Sunday alongside director of football Frank McParland.

Forest welcomed strugglers Sunderland to the City Ground on Saturday looking to get an important win before the the opening of the January transfer window, but fell to a disappointing 1-0 loss.

A goal on 40 minutes from Aiden McGeady was enough to seal the points for Chris Coleman’s side, and condemn Forest to a third loss in four games.

It seems that loss was the final straw for the Forest hierarchy, who took the decision to sack Warburton and director of football Frank McParland.

Warburton was boss at Ibrox for 18 months, leading the Light Blues into the Premiership after several years away.

However, he left the club in February 2017 after falling 19 points behind rivals Celtic in the title race, and then took over at Forest in March.

His departure from the club was a contentious one, with the hierarchy releasing a statement that he had resigned, but Warburton later claimed he had not done so.

It was this episode that most Gers fans alluded to as they took to Twitter to brutally troll Warburton after the news of his sacking.
