Everton expected XI v Manchester United

|

Sam Allardyce will be looking for instant response from his Everton side against Manchester United after suffering his first defeat on Saturday.

The Toffees slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth to end Allardyce’s unbeaten start as manager, which had seen Evertob move into the top-half of the table.

Despite the defeat Everton remain in the top-half, sat ninth, and are unlikely to slip into the bottom half of the table even if they lose on Monday in the Goodison Park 5.30pm kick-off.

This is because Watford can leapfrog the Toffees with victory but Huddersfield who are 11th can only move level on points with Everton, and their goal difference is drastically worse.

Victory for the Toffees against Manchester United could move them above Leicester City into eighth, if Leicester fail to match Everton’s result.

Allardyce, speaking after the defeat to Bournemouth with Sky Sports, confirmed that he would make changes to his team for Monday’s game.

This is Futbol have selected the expected Everton starting XI, with a recall for their top scorer this season and the axe for three players.
