Rangers fans have taken to social media to express their delight after Celtic’s 69-match unbeaten domestic run came to a shuddering halt with a 4-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.
The defeat marks the first time Celtic have lost in domestic action since a 2-1 defeat at St Johnstone in May 2016, 585 days ago, as well as their first defeat under Brendan Rodgers against Scottish opposition.
Craig Levein’s side demolished the Hoops with an outstanding display decorated by goals from 16-year-old Harry Cochrane, former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty and a late Manuel Milinkovic double.
Celtic were not only comprehensively beaten but also totally outplayed by Hearts as they failed to extend their lead over second-placed Aberdeen beyond two points.
Rangers fans, smarting from their own side’s home defeat to St Johnstone on Saturday, took to Twitter in their masses to delight in Celtic’s first league defeat in 18 months.

Fingers crossed now teams know Celtic can be beaten they will start dropping more points. I’m not saying Rangers will catch them but teams like Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts, St Johnstone should be capable of taking points off them
