Celtic had their domestic unbeaten run shattered today at 69 games as they lost 4-0 to Hearts, and Hoops fans have taken to Twitter to destroy Jozo Simunovic for his display.

Bosnian defender Simunovic formed a defensive partnership with Dedryck Boyata, flanked on the right by Mikael Lustig and on the left by Kieran Tierney.

Once again Celtic were let down by their back line, so often a weakness this season despite their impressive run, as Hearts ran out comfortable winners.

16-year-old midfielder Harry Cochrane opened the scoring on 26 minutes with a well-taken left-footed finish, before Kyle Lafferty doubled Hearts’ lead 10 minutes later with a long-range shot that kept low and bounced in off the post.

Hearts went into the break 2-0 up but were soon celebrating once again after David Milinkovic rounded Craig Gordon to give them a third.

It was Simunovic’s error which gifted Hearts that goal, with the Bosnian making an absolute mess of clearing a long ball and handing possession away to Milinkovic.

Milinkovic found himself on the scoresheet again on 76 minutes, converting a penalty after Gordon brought down Ross Callachan.

The result sees Hearts stay in fifth on 27 points, and Celtic remain top on 41, now just two points above Aberdeen but with a game in hand.

Hoops fans turned their attention to the performance of Simunovic at the final whistle, and the vast majority of it was not pretty.
