Tottenham slumped to a crushing 4-1 away defeat against Manchester City on Saturday in the Premier League and there were plenty of talking points after the game.

Spurs suffered a major setback in the league as they were torn apart by Pep Guardiola’s impressive outfit at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City are now 14 points clear at the top of the league and it seems like they are in an unassailable position as they chase the title.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino’s team are seventh in the league standings and reaching the top four is now a real issue for them.

Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring with a header in the first-half on Saturday evening in what was a fiery encounter with a few tough challenges.

Man City’s dominance finally told in the second period as goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling (two) put the hosts in control.

Christian Eriksen managed a late consolation with a left-footed effort into the corner to the delight of the travelling supports, but the display of the team was well below their usual standard.
