Graham Roberts picked out Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Mousa Dembele for their individual Tottenham performances in the win over Stoke on Saturday.

Spurs recorded a comprehensive 5-1 victory at home to Stoke in the Premier League as they got their top-four push back on track.

Kane continued his remarkable goalscoring form in 2017 with a brace, while Son, Christian Eriksen and a Ryan Shawcross own goal completed the scoring for the hosts at Wembley.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side now turn their attention to a home clash against Brighton in midweek in the league, before a trip to table toppers Manchester City next weekend.

The north London club will be hoping to pick up some form during a busy winter period and the return of form to their key players will certainly help.

Spurs legend Roberts decided to  shift much praise on to Kane, Alli and Dembele after they played pivotal roles against Stoke.

“Great performance today much better Harry Kane. All the way now for another golden boot. Another huge game midweek, well done lads. Heung-Min Son and Mousa Dembele quality today,” Roberts wrote on his personal Twitter account.

OPINION

Spurs centre-forward Kane continues to be a very consistent player in the squad and has now scored 18 times this season in 20 appearances across all competitions. The England international is on course to break all kinds of scoring records and he showed his clinical touch in front of goal against Stoke. Meanwhile, attacker Son retained his place in the starting XI on Saturday afternoon and it turned out to be an inspired decision by Pochettino. The creative force is not always a guaranteed starter in the team, but could now be set for an extended run in the side if his good form in front of goal continues. Central midfielder Dembele was the third player to receive exceptional praise from Roberts and the powerhouse looked back to his best as he dominated the centre of the park.
