Stan Collymore has predicted Liverpool to beat Everton on Sunday when the two sides clash in the Merseyside derby.

The Reds host the Toffees for a Premier League encounter at the weekend and both team have won their last three consecutive games across all competitions.

Liverpool will jump up to third in the league table with three points with a win and will be desperate to continue their recent form.

Jurgen Klopp’s side recorded an emphatic 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow in midweek in the Champions League group stages and will be looking for a repeat performance at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Sam Alladryce has made an immediate impact at Everton since his appointment as manager and his team will consolidate their position in 10th if they win against their bitter rivals.

Collymore has tipped a 3-1 scoreline in favour of the home side Liverpool ahead of the game, something which will delight the red side of Merseyside, as cited by his official Twitter account.

OPINION

Liverpool should start as overwhelming favourites in this game at home and their blistering attack should prove too much for an Everton side that have struggled for the most part this campaign defensively. Allardyce is likely to set his team up as difficult to beat, but most teams have found it impossible dealing with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. Liverpool have dominated the recent clashes between the sides and are unbeaten in their last 14 games across all competitions. Klopp’s team have won the last three consecutive meetings and their strikeforce should feel confident about stretching that.
