A beacon of consistency in a defence that is not renowned for its solidity. Klopp appears to have moved beyond simply rotating his right-backs between every game by edging in favour of Gomez ahead of the more youthful Trent Alexander-Arnold. It is easy to see why. Gomez was equally effective on the right, and then at centre-back when Dejan Lovren was withdrawn after an hour. His distribution is an issue, but what a prospect.
