Liverpool rocketed into the Champions League knockout stages with a sensational attacking performance as they demolished Spartak Moscow 7-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Merseysiders’ second victory by the same scoreline of this season’s group stages – they also won 7-0 away at Maribor – was decorated by some brilliant attacking play from their ‘Fab Four’ of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Coutinho scored a hat-trick, Mane netted a double and there were strikes from Firmino and Salah as Liverpool became the fifth English club to qualify for the last 16 of this season’s Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s Group E leaders came into the game knowing they needed to avoid defeat to be sure of reaching the knockout stage for the first time since 2008-09, and there was never any doubt from the moment Coutinho opened the scoring from the penalty spot about four minutes.

Here, This Is Futbol rates the Liverpool players out of 10 for their performances against Spartak, with a mainstay collecting the lowest mark and the highest points going to a 25-year-old who delivered one of the Champions League displays of the season.
