Tottenham attacker Heung-Min Son once again delivered the goods for his side on Tuesday night against Borussia Dortmund and deserves to be handed a more prominent role by Mauricio Pochettino.

The 25-year-old scored the decisive goal with a sublime curled finish and was arguably Spurs’ best player in the Champions League group stage match.

He has every right to cast a frustrated figure right now as the Dortmund clash was just the fourth time he has completed 90 minutes this campaign and he is somewhat underrated.

However, he remains one of the most professional players in the Spurs squad and he deserves to be rewarded with more starts.

The versatile attacker usually plays as a left-winger, but can also be deployed as a secondary striker alongside Harry Kane.

He has now scored four goals and supplied two assists in 17 games across all competitions this season, but those numbers could be far great if given more of a chance.

Son offers the north London club a slightly different threat in the final third with his speed, quick dribbling and clever movement around the penalty area.

The South Korea international would usually be axed from the starting XI for the upcoming Premier League clash against West Brom, but he must keep his spot where he can be a real driving force.

He is certainly an underrated player that doesn’t get the credit deserves and his quality in front of goal is clinical.

Son is also a tireless worker that makes him perfect in the starting XI and Pochettino must find more formations that accommodate his unsung hero.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are the usual front three that get the nod in most games, but there is a strong case for also being involved from the off.
