Real Madrid are reportedly keen to sell Gareth Bale for £85million – and Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to urge Mauricio Pochettino to make a sensational move.
The Mirror report that Real are paving the way to offload the dazzling forward, 28, after his latest injury problem ruled him out until the new year.
It is said that Premier League clubs are on alert, including Spurs, who sold Bale to the Spanish giants in the summer of 2013 for a then-world record £86million.
Pochettino is on the record as being a firm admirer of Bale, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to represent the club.
At Real, the Welshman has won the Champions League three times and the Spanish title, scoring 70 goals and supplying 55 assists in 159 matches.
Tottenham fans are excited about the link to re-signing Bale, with many claiming he would provide the final piece of the jigsaw in Pochettino’s young and vibrant team which has made Europe sit up and take notice with its stunning transformation.

Spurs need to bring Bale back . His injuries are scary at Madrid. Imagine Bale and Kane. Wow . Would push us on another level #Spurs #Bale

That’s up to Bale. I’m sure he wouldn’t be the firsts ever player to take a pay cut to enjoy football again. I know it’s unrealistic. Spurs have moved on but I don’t think any current player is better than Bale fit and in form.

Apparently Madrid want rid of Bale and if he leaves, he wants to return to us. Madrid want £85m
As much as I’d love it I don’t think he is worth that to a club like ours that spends conservatively

£85m for a permanently injured player?!? ???????? I love bale, I’d love him at Spurs? But he’s never fit and 29 in July. Worth £40m tops

Yep would show intent and people can play it down all they like we all know bale was absolutely loved at Spurs and would be again there’s arguably better and less injury prone players but I’d love bale over them tbh

With a bench of:
Davies, Rose, Dier, Winks, Son, Lamela, Llorente. What a freakin team. Depth and ability. Still think we could use one more “obvious starter” to take us to next level. (Bale) #COYS

Does any #thfc fan seriously believe that we would pay Bale more than Kane? #COYS https://t.co/v2BhChKxhC

Whoever doesn’t want Bale back at Spurs due to bitterness that he left, is mindless. His sale set off a chain reaction that changed our club forever. Come home Gaz and join the revolution.
