Liverpool are one of several elite clubs eyeing a move for Manchester City wonderkid Javairo Dilrosun, according to ESPN.

The news outlet claims that the Reds, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Valencia are all monitoring the 19-year-old.

It is understood that the interested parties want to continue signing young talented players and hope they can offer more chance of first-team football than he can get at the Etihad Stadium.

The report details that Man City are keen to keep the skilful winger and want to battle off interest.

Dilrosun is a fleet-footed attacker that is highly-rated at Man City, but is still waiting to make his senior debut.

Good move for Liverpool?

Klopp has shown his desire to promote youth during his time at Anfield so far and being involved in the hunt for Dilrosun is a smart move.

The Holland Under-19 international is renowned for having good pace and being a brilliant dribbler of the ball, something that makes him a good fit for the Merseyside club.

He is currently impressing for Man City’s youth team, but the wide man is yet to get a first-team chance since his arrival in 2014 from Ajax.

However, Liverpool ??are keen to bring through young players and they could unearth a future gem in Dilrosun.

Likely to happen?

Man City are understood to be keen on keeping Dilrosun at the club and that is the most probably scenario right now despite widespread interest.

Pep Guardiola’s side may have to extend his current contract to deter suitors, with his current deal expiring in 2019.

Liverpool are also unlikely to be able to land the rapid winger if he becomes available as surely Man City would prefer a sale abroad than directly to a Premier League rival.
