Gayle returning to his best

Dwight Gayle was one of Newcastle’s best performers against United and impressed particularly in the first-half when his side were well in the game.

The centre-forward took his goal with brilliant composure and his effort deflected in off the post.

He has shown in the past he can score goals at a prolific rate in the Championship and his task is now to do the same in the Premier League.

Gayle looked very sharp with his pace threatening the United defence and Newcastle fans can be looking forward to his performances over the coming weeks as he returns to his best.
