Talented twin brothers Ross and Robby McCrorie are poised to sign new deals at Ibrox, according to The Scottish Sun.

Centre-back Ross, who has forced his way into the first team reckoning this season, is reportedly to be rewarded with a bumper new deal that keeps him at the club until 2021.

The Scottish Sun report that he will sign a four-year contract that runs until 2021.

His current deal runs until 2019, but the new contract offer will reportedly see him earn a significantly higher salary than he is currently receiving.

Twin brother Robby, a goalkeeper currently on loan at Berwick, is also set to receive improved terms from the club.

Ross has played 90 minutes in six of Rangers’ last seven matches, and the 19-year-old was hailed as Scotland’s future at centre-back by former manager Pedro Caixinha.

Robby, who is the Scotland U-19 stopper, has made eight appearances so far this season for League Two side Berwick Rangers, and may be recalled in January.

OPINION

While both brothers are set to be rewarded for their performances, Rangers fans will undoubtedly be most excited by the club securing powerhouse centre-back Ross for the next four years. McCrorie has shown maturity beyond his years in his breakout season, and that is one thing that Gers fans can thank former boss Caixinha for. For all of Caixinha’s failings, his decision to hand Ross McCrorie his debut for the Light Blues was a brilliant decision, and will remain a small positive in his legacy at Ibrox.
