Tottenham’s title chances have seemingly disappeared after their poor Premier League run continued with a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday night.
First half strikes from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were enough to cancel out Harry Kane’s late goal and ensure that the Foxes secured the three points at the King Power Stadium.
The result means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have picked up just one win in their last five league outings and are now in a battle to finish in the top four this season.
Tottenham remain fifth in the Premier League and could fall to seventh by the end of Wednesday if Liverpool and Burnley beat Stoke and Bournemouth respectively.
