Three things learned from Tottenham win against Dortmund

OPINION

Tottenham showed they are made of stern stuff by bouncing back in some style from their weekend defeat to Arsenal with a memorable Champions League win at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 triumph through second-half goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min as they ensured they progress to the knockout stages of Europe’s elite competition as group winners.

Spurs have won four and drawn the fifth of their group stage matches, which was the small matter of a 1-1 draw at the home of holders Real Madrid.

It is an hugely impressive achievement from Tottenham, especially after they failed to progress from what was a far easier group last season.

There was much to admire about Pochettino’s players in the intimidating Westfalenstadion arena on a night when they stood up to be counted.

This Is Futbol identifies three things learned, including how one Tottenham player has made a better start to his career at the club than any in recent memory.
