Joey Barton has raved about Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and believes that he has been a “breath of fresh air” since his arrival in the summer.

The winger has become a mainstay in the Reds starting XI this season and only arrived in the summer for £34million from Roma.

He previously had a failed spell in England with Chelsea, but has hit the ground running on Merseyside.

Salah inspired Liverpool to an impressive 4-1 away win over West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday and continued his goalscoring form.

The 25-year-old attacker has score 12 goals in 17 games across all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side and his blistering pace is terrorising defences.

Barton was full of praise for the Egypt international after his influence against West Ham and mentioned him as being one of the signings of the season.

“Mo Salah. A breath of fresh air. Love watching him playing. Has to be one of the signings of the season?” Barton wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Salah has become a key player already for Liverpool and is becoming a real driving force in their attacking set-up.

He usually operates on the right wing and Liverpool look a huge threat with Sadio Mane also on the left flank.

Salah was unable to make a real impression during his 19 appearances for Chelsea, but went to Italian club Roma to re-build his reputation.

The rapid wide man is now tearing it up Anfield and is becoming a firm fan favourite.
