Michael Owen has predicted Tottenham to draw when they host Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

Spurs welcome the Spanish giants to Wembley for the Champions League group stages and both teams are in a great position to reach the knockout rounds.

They played out a 1-1 draw in the previous meeting at the Bernabeu and are locked together on seven points in the group, while Borussia Dortmund and Apoel Nicosia have just one point so far.

Mauricio Pochettino will be relived to have Dele Alli available to him after the playmaker served his European ban and he could be in line for a start.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane trained on Tuesday and the manager is hopeful his star centre-forward will be passed fit.

Owen has tipped another draw between Spurs and Madrid in the mid-week clash as the Premier League side test themselves against the Champions League holders.

“A draw was a fair result in the Bernabeu and I think Spurs can pick up another valuable point en route to the knock out stages with Borussia Dortmund on the back foot following their draw in Nicosia on match day three,” Owen wrote in his column for Bet Victor.

OPINION

Alli has made a mixed start to the season and this Madrid clash could be the game that he comes alive. Spurs fans are still waiting for the attacking midfielder to reach his top form after a disrupted campaign and Wednesday night could be the perfect stage for him. He has the quality to shine against the very best players in the world and it will be great to measure himself against Madrid. Alli gives Spurs a brilliant goal threat in the final third and his link up play with teammate Kane could be crucial.
