Leeds United are keeping close tabs on Holstein Kiel hotshot Marvin Ducksch, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper claim scouts from Leeds were in Nuremberg last Saturday to watch the prolific striker in action in a 2-2 draw but he was substituted after 68 minutes.
The Daily Mail report that United are in the market for new January signings and are weighing up moves for attacking pair Ducksch and Red Bull Salzburg’s Israeli international Moanes Dabour.
Ducksch, 23, in on a season-long loan at German second-tier outfit Holstein Kiel and has scored 10 goals in 14 league fixtures to lead the Bundesliga II scoring charts.
His form has been central to his side soaring to the top of the Bundesliga II table, having picked up nine wins from 14 games.
Good move for Leeds?
Ducksch has pedigree – he has been capped at Germany Under-18s level – and an impressive goal record. The Borussia Dortmund academy product is on loan with Holstein Kiel until the end of the season but has a contract at his parent club St Pauli contract that runs until June 2019. He is an imposing physical specimen, standing at 6ft 3in, but there are question marks as to whether he has the mobility to dismantle Championship defences.

Likely to happen?
A new striker is expected to be a major priority for Leeds in the January transfer window. They have already plucked one striker from Germany in loanee Pierre-Michel Lasogga, so it is clearly a market they regard as having value for money. A deal would be complicated in the winter window, as Ducksch is on a season-long loan from St Pauli.
