Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama are in line to return to the Tottenham side against Bournemouth after their injury lay-offs, according to Football.London.

The Trinity Mirror football news website claim in a detailed Spurs injury update on Spurs that the midfield pair are both set to figure on Saturday when the Cherries visit Wembley.

Dembele has been suffering with a persistent ankle injury which has seen him ruled out of action since the middle of September.

Wanyama has been missing from the squad for their last eight matches due to a knee injury and has not played since their 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea in August.

OPINION

The impending return of Wanyama and Dembele is a huge boost to Spurs. For most fans, they are the team’s first choice central midfield duo, with their combination of power, technique and authority almost unmatched in the Premier League. Eric Dier has filled in manfully this season and Harry Winks is improving by the week, but Mauricio Pochettino will want his midfield monsters back in action as soon as possible. They are unlikely to start against Bournemouth, but he would love to have them as bench options.
