Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will ring the changes to his starting XI for the League Cup match against West Ham on Wednesday night.

The winners will be rewarded with a place in the quarter-finals and a shot at the first competitive trophy of the season.

Pochettino has already stated that he will rest star striker Harry Kane after he limped off after scoring two goals in the 4-1 win over Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday.

Tottenham fans feared the worst when he appeared to be limping and holding his hamstring at Wembley, but Pochettino moved to scotch any injury rumours to his star saying he was just “tired”.

Tottenham haven’t won a trophy since the League Cup back in 2008 when they beat Chelsea at their current home stadium.

However, it’s fair to say that Pochettino’s men have bigger fish to fry this season, targeting the Premier League and Champions League.

A trophy would take some of the pressure of Pochettino though and he’s expected to name a competitive side to take on their London rivals.

This Is Futbol has identified the expected team Pochettino will select against West Ham, including a young left-sided flyer who always excites the crowd…
