Tottenham have been ranked as the third most likeliest team to win the title this season by Sky Sports’ Premier League predictor.

Sky Sports revealed on their official website that Manchester City (29%) are the most likely Premier League champions, with Manchester United (23%) and Spurs (20%) just behind them.

Meanwhile, rivals Chelsea (12%), Arsenal (8%) and Liverpool (3%) are all considered rank outsiders.

The predictor takes into account form, fixtures and history to ranks each team’s most likely finish at the end of the season.

Spurs have never won the Premier League title before, but the feeling around the North London club is that the current group of players are good enough.

Pochettino’s side have been in the title mix for the past two consecutive feelings and just missed out to eventual champions Chelsea and Leicester respectively.

They have made a decent start to the new season and sit third in the league table after seven games, but already have work to do to cut the five-point deficit to both Manchester clubs.

OPINION

Spurs have been the most consistent team in England over the past two seasons and will be full of regret that they have missed out on the league title. However, they still have a brilliant core of players and there is no reason why they can’t mount another push for the league crown. They have leaders all over the park and are surely going to be in contention given the remarkable form of striker Harry Kane. Pochettino’s side are also well drilled defensively and the arrival of Davinson Sanchez has even managed to improve their back-line. Most pundits are narrowing it down to a two-horse race between the two Manchester clubs, but if Spurs can get over their Wembley voodoo they will be serious candidates.
