Allardyce: Kane would score goals at Madrid

|

Sam Allardyce insists that the long-term future of Tottenham star Harry Kane is not yet clear and that he could end up playing abroad.

The former England manager claims that the 24-year-old has the quality to play for any elite club in world football and that Spurs could receive an offer too good to turn down for their talisman.

Spanish outlet Dario Gol have reported that La Liga giants Real Madrid are keen on the £179million-rated striker and the likes of Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale have been mentioned as potential makeweights in a swap deal.

Allardyce believes that Kane could be tempted by a move to a European giant in the future and that will leave Spurs fans extremely anxious that they could lose their prolific goalscorer.

The striker played under Allardyce during his very brief spell as England manager and has grown into a key man for the national side since.

”He’ll be looking at staying for the next two to three seasons but, after that, who knows? Maybe it’ll be time to move on,” Allardyce wrote in his column for Paddy Power. “He could easily attract interest from the big guns – Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.

“Those three clubs are the only three that would tempt Harry to leave Tottenham, especially if he wins something there. When you see what happened with Neymar going to PSG, there’s always an offer that someone can’t refuse, and that’ll be the case with Harry eventually.

“Harry has all the ability in the world, and could play at the highest level. You can see from his recent form just how important he is to Tottenham and England. He’s world class. So, he would still score goals at Madrid and in fact, he could score goals anywhere.”

Kane has continued his sensational rise at Spurs this season and is becoming even more lethal in front of goal.

The centre-forward has made nine appearances so far this campaign and netted 11 goals in return.

He has also been a key man for Gareth Southgate’s England side as his goals during the international break booked the nation’s place in the 2018 World Cup.

OPINION

Kane is going to draw attention from the world’s biggest clubs due to his phenomenal touch in front of goal and he is only showing signs of improvements. The striker ended the season in remarkable fashion with seven goals in his last two games and is form has continued over into the beginning of the new campaign. He has no signs of weakness in his game and there is no doubt he could grab a hatful at Madrid with the service their creative players provide. However, he should stay with Spurs for the meantime and should have an eye on Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goals tally.
