Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell is set to seal a temporary exit on Thursday, according to journalist Adam Pope.

The BBC correspondent claims on his official Twitter account that the 20-year-old will complete a loan move in the next 24 hours as he goes in search of more regular football.

The shot stopper is expected to complete an emergency loan away from Elland Road as he is yet to feature in the first team under Thomas Christiansen.

Leeds are on the verge of signing Polish goalkeeper Kamil Miazek after he was named in the Under-23s side during a trial and he is set to become the new third-choice option in goal.

The Whites also have Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan as senior options vying for the number one spot.

Good move for Leeds?

Peacock-Farrell is regarded as a brilliant young talent at the Yorkshire club and a short-term loan could be very beneficial for him.

The goalkeeper has been a regular feature for the Under-23s side in recent seasons and has made just one senior appearance for Leeds.

However, he is being tipped for a bright future and the chance to play senior football away on loan will really help his development.

Leeds’ goalkeeper jersey is by no means fixed by current number one Wiedwald and Peacock-Farrell will be hoping for a first-team role if he impresses away on loan.

Likely to happen?

This deal looks on the verge of being completed, although it’s unclear who Peacock-Farrell will be joining.

It is likely to be a lower league side that are willing to give him a greater chance of first-team football, something that is not happening at Elland Road.

The imminent arrival of Miazek all but confirms the exit for Peacock-Farrell as he will take over the role in the Under-23s side.
