Liverpool strongest XI against Manchester United

|

Midfield

Emre Can (Centre-midfield) – On his day, the German is the best of Liverpool’s central midfielders and has the ability to dominate a match. Fans are worried that he could quit next summer as his contract stalemate drags on, but he is a better partner for Jordan Henderson than Georginio Wijnaldum and should get the nod.

Jordan Henderson (Centre-midfield) – The skipper is not everyone’s cup of tea, but his energy and leadership make him a key man and he should be the midfield fulcrum.

Philippe Coutinho (Playmaker) – Liverpool’s key man over the next six weeks now Mane is out and the onus will be on the brilliant Brazilian to lead the Liverpool attacking charge. Klopp should avoid the temptation to push him out wide and start him in the No10 role from which he can run the game. United will see him as the Anfield dangerman-in-chief.
