Liverpool expected line-up against Manchester United after Mane blow

|

Goalkeeper and defence

Simon Mignolet (Goalkeeper) – The Belgian is the regular league No1 and is set to keep his place after the draw against Newcastle before the international break after doing little wrong so far this season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold Right-back) – The teenager has rotated with fellow youngster Joe Gomez and is a more natural fit at right-back, where he made his first league start against United last season.

Joel Matip (Centre-back) – Liverpool’s outstanding defender is certain to be handed the role of leading a wobbly back line.

Dejan Lovren (Centre-back) – The Croatian has been popping pills to ease the pain of a crippling back problem, but is likely to get the nod if he stays out of the treatment room.

Andy Robertson (Left-back) – The summer signing impressed for Scotland during the international break and could be handed only his fourth Liverpool appearance in place of the error-prone Alberto Moreno.
