Tottenham face Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night in the Champions League group stages – and fans on Twitter have pleaded with manager Mauricio Pochettino to axe Kieran Trippier from the side.
Spurs are beginning their group stage campaign at home to Germany heavyweights Dortmund, who knocked them out of the Europa League int he 2015/16 campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino has some big decisions to make regarding his starting line-up following on from the 3-0 win over Everton.
The manager is without the suspended Dele Alli for the European match, but the most pressing issue could be who starts the match at right-back.
Trippier is currently regarded as the first-choice option at right-wing back, but Serge Aurier is patiently waiting for his opportunity to shine following his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs fans on Twitter have urged Pochettino to drop Trippier from the starting line-up against Dortmund as they feel he could struggle to cope with the attacking threat of their opponents.

If Trippier starts today I'm not going to be happy

Haha I can't see that happening thankfully! Aurier in for Trippier, Dembélé in for Sissoko and Son in for Dele and I'll be happy ??

I'd play Son instead of Dele and Aurier instead of Trippier tomorrow. #COYS

I hope you're right. I want to see Aurier play tomorrow solely cos of his experience in CL. I don't trust Trippier against quality wingers.

Aurier needs to start today. We need his pace & energy on both sides of the pitch tonight. Trippier won't be able to cope when BVB counter.

Trippier is looking to cement his regular position in the side, but Spurs showed last season they are prepared to rotate their full-backs on a regular basis.
The 26-year-old was competing alongside Kyle Walker last season for his position in the side, but now faces fresh competition from Ivory Coast international Aurier.
Aurier has experience in the Champions League and he will hope that gets him the nod on Wednesday night.
