|

West Ham are one of four clubs that have been tracking MK Dons striker Dylan Asonganyi, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claims that the Hammers have been monitoring the progress of the 16-year-old at the League One club.

He has been in red-hot form for the MK Dons Under-18s side this season and netted nine goals in just seven matches so far.

It is understood that Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have also been alerted to the English rising star.

The report details that MK Dons are keen to hold on to their academy star Asonganyi and that he is set to make a senior debut over the next few months.

Good move for West Ham?

West Ham should be keen to bring in young English talents to their side and that should be the same for all Premier League teams.

The Hammers have a strong academy producing future stars and the same could be the said for MK Dons.

Tottenham star Dele Alli is the best example to come from their academy and there is a lot of hype going around upcoming talent Asonganyi.

The striker has been impressing at youth level, but Slaven Bilic’s side should at least wait to see if he can make the cut for the senior team.

In the meantime West Ham have two great forward options in Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez, who need to strike?? up a partnership to ensure they can play in the same starting XI.

Likely to happen?

MK Dons reportedly want to keep Asonganyi, but have seen several teams in the past that it can be impossible to fend off interest from top Premier League clubs.

Potential suitors will be closely eyeing the teenage forward when he makes his senior debut and are sure to swoop early if he impresses.

West Ham could face a difficult task to win the race for his signature with heavyweights Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool all in the running.
