He managed to score the only goal of the game with a well-timed header and was also influential in keeping a clean sheet.
The centre-back is remarkably not a guaranteed starter in the team, but lay down a market against the Swans and is set for a prolonged stay in the starting XI.
He faces competition from Ciaran Clark and Florian Lejeune for a starting position, but that can only be good for the squad.
