The SPFL announced their team of the week on Tuesday after a weekend full of Premiership clashes, and the 26-year-old Hoops player was the only Celtic squad member to be named.

Celtic secured a 4-0 win over the Staggies at Parkhead, and Forrest managed to net half of the goals and also provide an assist during the clash.

The Team of the Week was announced on the SPFL’s official Twitter account.

Forrest has featured in all of Celtic’s matches across all competitions so far this season and has helped the Hoops remain unbeaten in the Premiership.

Brendan Rodgers’ side face Dundee at Dens Park on Wednesday in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final before they head to the Ibrox for the club’s first Old Firm showdown of the season against Rangers.
