Tottenham fans delivered mixed verdicts on Vincent Janssen’s display for Holland in their 3-1 World Cup qualifier win against Bulgaria on Sunday evening.
Janssen, 23, was given the nod to spearhead his country’s attack in the crucial fixture even though he has not started any of Spurs’ three fixtures in the new season.
The striker did not get on the scoresheet to add to his impressive international tally as two goals from midfielder Davy Propper and an Arjen Robben strike lifted Holland to third in Group A.
Tottenham supporters took a keen interest in the performance of Janssen, who played the entire 90 minutes of the fixture, and delivered their verdicts on his performance.

I know you struggle with objectivity regarding Spurs, but your analysis of Janssen today was spot on. Truth hurts. Lad needed a loan.

I didn’t bother watching it if I’m honest. Seems that was the right decision. I think Janssen will come good though & he has age on his side

Janssen did everything in that match but score. Had a great game and had a huge influence. Still a 1 in 2 goal striker for Holland though.

The Dutch striker slipped further down the pecking order for his club on Thursday when they beat Chelsea to the deadline day signing of Fernando Llorente from Swansea.
Janssen faces the prospect of being third in contention for the centre-forward role at Tottenham behind Harry Kane and Llorente but rejected the chance of a last-ditch loan move to Brighton.
Holland are now third in Group A, three points behind leaders Sweden and second-placed France.
