Frank Lampard has admitted that he would prefer to have Tottenham ace Harry Kane over any other striker in the Premier League.

Spurs fans will love to hear the confession from Chelsea legend Lampard, who has named him ahead of the likes of Alvaro Morata, Romelu Lukaku and Sergio Aguero.

Kane has become a talisman for the North London club in the past few seasons and has picked up the Premier League golden boot for the past two consecutive seasons.
The 24-year-old has turned into a goalscoring machine and already has nine in just eight appearnces so far this season.

The England international made his mark in the Champions League on Tuesday night too, scoring a stunning hat-trick in a 3-0 win away to Apoel Nicosia.

Lampard was discussing the best strikers in the Premier League such as Chelsea’s Morata, Man United’s Lukaku and Man City’s Aguero with all of them starting strong this season.

However, the Premier League legend believes that Kane is the best centre-forward in the division right now.

“I think Kane is the No.1 striker for me at the moment, I’d have to say,” Lampard told BT Sport during coverage of Atletico Madrid v Chelsea on Wednesday night.

OPINION

Lampard has picked Kane as top of the pile in terms of Premier League strikers and he is spot on the money. Many people will make strong arguments for the likes of Lukaku, Aguero and Morata, but right now it’s the Spurs man who stands out alone. The Englishman has been relentless with his goalscoring in the past couple of seasons and there doesn’t appear to be a weakness to his game. Kane has won the Premier League golden boot for the past two consecutive seasons and it’s likely he will repeat the feat again.
