Leeds’ fantastic start to the season carried on at Turf Moor on Tuesday night as they dispatched Burnley in the League Cup.

They made it hard for themselves though, after leading twice late on.

They took the lead through Hadi Sacko after he was put through by Pablo Hernandez, but conceded a penalty through Gaetano Berardi in the 89th minute.

Chris Wood – who else – stepped up and fired a confident penalty past Andy Lonergan to equalise.

Leeds were then awarded a penalty, which was converted by Pablo Hernandez in the 93rd minute, but incredibly Robbie Brady equalised again in the 97th minute with a beautiful free-kick.

Leeds weren’t to be denied though, and scored five wonderful penalties in the shootout, with Lonergan saving from James Tarkowski to win the tie for his side.

However, it wasn’t the perfect night for Leeds and two things went pretty badly.
