Leeds player ratings v Cardiff

|

 1. Goalkeeper and defenders

Felix Wiedwald – 5
Couldn’t do anything about the opening goal but might be thinking he could have done better for the second. It was a good shot from Hoilett but it was definitely saveable. Not his best performance.

Luke Ayling – 4
Really uncharacteristic mistakes from the normally dependable Ayling in a really poor performance.

Liam Cooper – 3
Picked up a yellow card for a bad challenge on Nathaniel Mendez-Laing towards the end of the first half. Compounded this by mistiming a tackle on the same player in first-half injury time and saw red. Really poor.

Pontus Jansson – 6
Not his usual commanding self but Leeds were in disarray in the match and he was one of their better players.

Gaetano Berardi – 6
A marauding run early on in the second half nearly saw Berardi get his first Leeds goal – actually his first senior goal in 237 games! Unfortunately the Berardi Neil Etheridge was off his line quickly. Gave his all.
