Liverpool fans are ready to forgive and forget and are hoping to see Philippe Coutinho line up for them against Sevilla at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Coutinho hasn’t featured for Liverpool since the on/off transfer saga over the summer with Barcelona.
The attacking ace indicated that he wanted to go before handing in a formal transfer request late on in the summer, but Liverpool were adamant they weren’t going to sell and stuck to their guns.
Now, Klopp has said that Coutinho is “fit and healthy” but hasn’t said whether he’ll be in the starting XI for tonight’s crunch game.
Liverpool fans are hoping that he will play – at least from the bench – and are urging fans to see whether he gives a committed performance, rather than just booing him on sight.
This Is Futbol has rounded up the best tweets from expectant Liverpool fans.
If coutinho does start tonight it's important we get behind him, could prove vital for us this season, important he's confident! #LFC

I'd bring Gomez Lovren Robertson Coutinho in to start tonight obviously I'm aware Karius starts as well, if Salah is fit I'd drop Wijnaldum

I'd definitely start Coutinho tonight. Love Wijnaldum but I'd put Coutinho in his place. Midfield 3 of Can, Henderson and Coutinho. [1/2]

Coutinho’s teammate Alberto Moreno has said that the attacking ace is ready to “give his all” for Liverpool again after the failed transfer.
Talking in the Daily Mail he said, “It was tough for him. He had a bad time but it’s over now and I know that he will give everything for Liverpool.”
Coutinho is still waiting for his first Champions League goal after a run of nine blanks with Inter Milan and five with Liverpool.
One tonight could go a long way to repairing the rift between the talented player and his club and its fans.
