Mauricio Pochettino faces a selection dilemma ahead of his opening Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.
Tottenham put in a brilliant performance to beat Everton 3-0 on Saturday, and some fans will be questioning the need for change after a big win without conceding.
But Pochettino isn’t afraid of switching things round and it’s vital that his team starts with a win tonight at Wembley.
With Real Madrid on the horizon this game could be the first part of a two-game shootout for second place, and a defeat would be unthinkable.
Pochettino has already got to make one switch to his side, with Dele Alli missing the first three group games through suspension.
Heung-Min Son provides an easy replacement there, but we think Pochettino should also drop Kieran Trippier and start Serge Aurier.
Aurier is ready to play after his late transfer from Paris Saint-Germain and should be thrown straight in at the deep end against Dortmund at Wembley.
Trippier has been Kyle Walker’s replacement since his move to Manchester City but there is a question mark over his ability against the very best opposition.
Aurier also has more Champions league experience, with ten games to Trippier’s three – and he contributed a goal in the 15/16 campaign for PSG.
This is the starting XI that we think will beat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley tonight.
It’s a brave move, but Aurier is a big enough player to handle the pressure of a Wembley Champions League game and it’s time to see what he can do.
Lloris will be hoping that Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez can provide enough of a shield to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at bay.
If they can do that, then Tottenham should have enough in attack to secure all three points, even without Alli as part of the attacking trio.
Harry Kane found his goal-scoring form again after another miserable August, and that was exactly what Tottenham fans needed going into this game.
