Celtic are just one step away from qualifying for the Champions League group stages but must see off the challenge of FC Astana on Wednesday night.
Brendan Rodgers’ side play host to Kazakhstan champions Astana, who faced Celtic last season in the third qualifying round of the Champions League – a tie which the Hoops won 3-2 on aggregate.
The Hoops then face Astana in the second leg of the two-legged tie at the Astana Arena on August 22, and are expected to glide past their opponents into the group stages of the elite European competition.
However, although favourites for the tie, former Liverpool and Swansea manager Rodgers must do his homework on a number of Astana players who have the quality to unlock the Bhoys.
