Anita joined Leeds

Holland international Vurnon Anita has joined Championship outfit Leeds this summer, despite being an integral member of the Newcastle side last season.

Anita rivalled Yedlin for a place at right-back for much of last season but his contract was not renewed at St. James’ Park and although Manquillo has been brought in, cover is still needed with Manquillo likely to be used more as a left-back.

Signing Sagna would then give Newcastle the options they need to reduce the concern at full-back come the start of the 2017-18 season.
