Three things learned about Leeds in win v Preston

|

Hernandez should not be offered new contract

Pablo Hernandez has just 12 months remaining on his current contract at Elland Road, and is currently playing for his future in Yorkshire despite starring in Leeds’ promotion campaign last time around.

Although the former Spain international showed in glimpses just what he is capable of, he struggled to get involved in the number 10 role and did little to have an impact on Leeds’ overall attacking efforts.

Now 32 years of age, the former Swansea and Valencia star should not be handed a new deal after Christiansen gave contracts to Eunan O’Kane, Liam Cooper, Gaetano Berardi, Kalvin Phillips and Tyler Denton.
