Wolves are looking at offloading 22-year-old defender Dominic Iorfa after he was left out of their pre-season trip to Austria, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim on the live transfer blog on their website (14:43) that the player’s future at the club is in serious doubt after an influx of Portuguese talent, and report that he could depart Molineux this summer.

There have already been seven new faces through the door at the club, including club record signing Ruben Neves, arriving for £15million, in a revolution inspired by super agent Jorge Mendes.

Another of their young English stars, 21-year-old defender Kortney Hause, is also said to be fighting for his place in the first team squad, despite having made 29 appearances last season.

The news comes just hours after journalist Tim Nash claimed on his personal Twitter account that striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson would be allowed to leave the club after also missing out on the pre-season getaway.

Iorfa, a natural right-back who can also play at the heart of the defence, has been highly rated by both club and country, and trained with the England first team back in 2015.

With 13 England Under-21 caps under his belt, it appeared that the defender was set for a bright future, but it seems that may not be under new Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

He made a bright start to the campaign last season, starting the majority of Championship games until December, when he fell out of favour under new boss Paul Lambert, making just four league appearances in 2017.

Iorfa has made 93 appearances across all competitions for Wolves, but it may be that his three minute cameo against Preston North End on the last day of the season might have been his last.
