La Liga side Real Betis are planning on making a move for wantaway Arsenal striker Lucas Perez this summer, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish outlet claims that the 28-year-old is on the list of potential candidates to replace the club’s all-time leading goalscorer Ruben Castro, who looks set to leave Betis this summer.

It is said that the Perez is desperate to return to Spain next season and fellow Spanish side Sevilla are also in the hunt to land the striker.

The report claims that Betis will be able to afford a deal for the Arsenal man as they are destined to receive a huge amount of money from the deal that will see midfielder Dani Ceballos move to La Liga champions Real Madrid.

Perez is not the only player from the Premier League to be linked with a move to Betis as Estadio Deportivo recently reported that the Andalusian club were leading the race to land Chelsea youngster Pasalic.

The Spaniard was not named in the official Arsenal pre-season squad to travel to Australia as he looks set to secure a move away from the Emirates Stadium after just one year at the club.

The striker only managed to feature in 11 Premier League matches last season where he failed to complete the full 90 minutes.

Perez currently has three years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
